Today is Friday, and in celebration of Kentucky Derby Day, here is the recipe for a special whiskey cocktail made with our 100-proof “Wild Buck Whiskey” that will jump-start your weekend celebration!
The Mint Julep is a whiskey or bourbon cocktail best known as the signature drink of the Kentucky Derby. This refresher comprises whiskey or bourbon, sugar, mint, and crushed ice.
The mint julep is traditionally served in a rock glass or, ideally, in a silver julep cup. Since whiskey or bourbon is the only liquid in the drink, you’ll want to use a high-quality bottle of our 100-proof Wild Buck Whiskey. The higher-proof Wild Buck whiskey will keep the ice in the cocktail form from melting too quickly.
