Unbeknownst to you, Scotch is simply whiskey produced in Scotland using barley or a combination of grains.
Since Florida is a part of the United States of America, we refer to our Scotch as “Wild Buck Whiskey”!
However, in honor of Scotland, this week’s drink is the best Scottish Scotch cocktail of 2021.
Yes, this is the Rusty Nail Cocktail, one of the most well-known Scotch drinks ever. A slow sipper made popular in the 1960s, the Rusty Nail Cocktail combines whisky with the Scotch-based liqueur Drambuie. All you need for a Rusty Nail Cocktail is two ingredients, but they pack a punch: the Drambuie adds honey, herb, and sweet notes, while the Wild Buck Whiskey (Scotch) adds a spicy finish.
INGREDIENTS: (RUSTY NAIL COCKTAIL)
- 4 parts Scotch (Wild Buck Whiskey)
- 1 part Drambuie
- 1 Large Cube “Clear Ice”
DIRECTIONS: (RUSTY NAIL COCKTAIL)
- Pour all ingredients directly into an old-fashioned glass filled with ice.
- Stir gently.
- Garnish with a lemon twist.
- Serve.
