DARK AND STORMY MERMAID COCKTAIL
Across the world, people enjoy the iconic Dark ‘n Stormy cocktail on waterfronts. It was created in the 1920s when British sailors experimented with combining an island-produced ginger beer with Goslings Black Seal Rum to help them fight seasickness. The beverage became popular immediately, and goslings have been linked to it ever since. Goslings even trademarked the drink, so even though a bartender creates a tasty concoction with ginger beer and another rum, it cannot be referred to as a Dark ‘n Stormy.
We honor Goslings by naming our beverage the “Dark and Stormy Mermaid Cocktail” in honor of her.
INGREDIENTS: (DARK AND STORMY MERMAID COCKTAIL)
- 1-Bottle Ginger Beer
- 2-oz NJoy Spirits Distillery “Mermaid Rum”
- 1-Highball Glass 1/2 filled with ice
DIRECTIONS: (DARK AND STORMY MERMAID COCKTAIL)
- Slowly Pour Ginger Beer into the Highball glass 1/2 filled with ice until ~2/3 filled.
- Float (slowly pour) NJoy Spirits Distillery “Mermaid Rum” on top
- Garnish with a lime wedge
